After nine months "Operation Atlantic Resolve" rotation to Europe, the 101st Combat Aviation Brigade (CAB) returned home to their base in Fort Campbell, Kentucky. 35 helicopters; the 23 Blackhawks, nine Apaches and three Chinooks flew in from various stations in Germany (Ilesheim, Wiesbaden and Ramstein) with a (fuel) stop at Eindhoven Air Base. Members of the 96th Aviation Support Battalion (ASB) ‘Troubleshooters’ took care of dismantling the helicopters and store them securely. The famous American Roll-On Roll-Off Carrier (ARC) Endurance docked in the Waalhaven for loading. 1st CAB took over the role from the 101st. So we expect the 1st in Rotterdam in January/February 2022. Let's hope that it will be just as spectacular as in the previous rotations. GO ARMY!
